Thanks for the advice bloggers.I went with the fun & funky option and finished them last night - stripping one toe in a deeper and paler pink, and adding funky flowers onto the other one to 'match'!

Maybe I'll knit another pair of these socks in the future ...making sure I've enough yarn next time!
