Welcome dear Knitter to Needlesworth House.  We are proud to have you join us.  A Needlesworth loves techniques, skills and takes extra care of our needles, since without them, it would be rather difficult to knit, n'est-ce pas?  You are always one step ahead of the game, learning and watching and storing knowledge and skills, and you take perfection rather seriously.

Needlesworth House's mascot is a dragon and the House colours are plum and periwinkle blue.

January Socks

I think I started these about 2 months ago. But with Christmas knitting, I had a layover in Sweaterville and Scarftown on my way to finishing them.
Pattern: Monkey(without the purls) by Cookie A.
Yarn: Enchanted Knoll Farm sock yarn
Colorway: Wood Elves

Who else is excited about Cookie A. coming out with a sock book??

December Socks posted late and the beginning of January Socks

I finished my Here We Go Steelers! Socks on December 27 just in time to have them ready to wear for the final regular season game and the playoffs.
Pattern: Judy's Magic Cast-on and Wendy's Generic Toe-Up Sock Pattern
Yarn: Claudia Handpaints, Colorway Steelers, 2 skeins
Needles: Size 2 32" Knitpicks fixed circulars to knit sock and Size 10.5 Knitpicks Options to bind-off.
Notes: Given that the Steelers have won the two games they've played since I knit these socks, I consider them to be a very successful knit.
I cast-on this Sunday morning for my January socks with some Noro Kureyon Sock that I had in my stash.

Yellow Stash

Now that the Christmas knitting season is over and done, I am getting back to the sock knitting. I have chosen the next victim from the stash. This is a skein of Fearless Fibers 100% Superwash Merino Wool in the Citrus colorway.

I'm making a pair of Bayerische socks. I've done so much easy knitting this past year. It's time to challenge myself a bit, and knit up to my skill level. This is how the first sock looks, so far.

Happy New Year everybody!
