Hey! Where is everybody? This blog used to be very active. What happened? Am I the only one knitting socks from my stash? I find that hard to believe.

Calling all members! Lets get this going again? I'll start.

This past year I knitted 2 pairs of socks. Not as many as I have been known to make in the past. Mostly because my sock drawer is STUFFED so I'm waiting until I've worn a pair or two out. I designed a pair of socks for my son-in-law for Christmas. After I finished them I liked them so much I wrote up the pattern and posted it on my pattern blog.

Comments: I think this has been in my stash for 3 years, but not sure. I loved working with it and I love the Patina colorway. I bought the Navy Blue to go with the Patina.

The second pair I made last January. Technically, the yarn wasn't in my stash. It was given to me by Ray of Knitivity yarns. I offered to write a sock pattern for his yarns and this is what he sent me.

Pattern: Blog Reader Special Socks by Linda Jo Park

Yarn: Knitivity Down Home Art Yarns Sock
Color: Blog Reader Special 8-April-11 #403
Content: 75% Superwash Wool/25% Nylon
Needles: Addi Turbo Circular size 3.
Size: Ladies Medium (size 8 shoe)
Cast on: January 3, 2012
Bound off: February 1, 2012

Comments: I picked a slip stitch stitch pattern that I think goes well with variegated yarns. It is an easy pattern to memorize. These are knitted from the toe up. The yarn was nice to work with. I love the way it pooled on the feet. The pattern is available from Knitivity.

This last pair was knit at the end of 2011.

Comments:  The main yarn has been in my stash for at least 10 years (from the days when I had my yarn shop). I bought the red to go with the main color.

Again, I designed a pair of socks for my son-in-law. They were a nice challenge for me. I actually designed the stitch pattern I used which was kind of fun. I named it Wheat Rib. They are also the first pair of toe up socks I've designed. The pattern is on my pattern blog.

So, what socks have you knit from your stash?
