Need Sock Pattern

I am looking for a good ankle sock pattern that is cuff down. I would need something that is a Lady's medium (to fit 8.5 size foot). Can anyone help me?

I made some girlie ankle socks last summer using the scalloped top of the Mock Wave cable socks pattern in Favourite Socks by Interweave. The ravelry link (if you are a member is http://www.ravelry.com/projects/rooknits/summer-socks
However you could use almost any pattern and shorten the leg. e.g. Monkey socks, with 2 or 3 repeats of the pattern on the leg would work well.
