It only took about 4 years. I started these probably 4 years ago on vacation. I finished the first sock and then they were relegated, needles and all to the sock yarn stash. I resurrected them, counted all the rows to figure out the pattern and knit the second sock. I decided not to fuss with making them an exact pair by matching stripes. I figured it was better to have finished socks instead of getting frustrated and sticking them back in the stash for another year.
