April Socks

Started: 1st April
Finished: 13th April
Pattern: My own sock pattern. The lace repeat is based of those in Jane Lithgow's Cranford Mitts.
Yarn: Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Turquoise
Needles: 2.5mm
Comments: A really simple horseshoe lace repeat over 60 stitches. I love them. Natalie at the Yarn Yard is dyeing me some merino and I'm going to make a pair from that with contrasting heels and toes. Let me know if you would like the pattern and I'll talk to Jane about writing it up (as it is her idea I've stolen!)

March Socks Finished

Lichen Rib from Nancy Bush's Knitting Vintage Socks. The yarn is Posh Yarn Lucia in Highland Mist (one of Dee's old standard colourways). I finished the first sock last year and then stalled so I am glad to have these finished. They are winging their way to the US as an angel package for someone in the Vintage Sock Swap who didn't get any socks.

Finished Feb Socks

My February socks are finished.

Pattern: Monkey from Knitty, but with knit instead of purl stitches.
Yarn: Yarn Yard Sock Yarn in Peppermint Pink, about 60g.
Needles: 2.5mm circulars and dpns
Started: 30th January
Finished: 21st Feburary
Comments: Brilliant pattern, really fast doing the no-purl version. Love them!
I've done the random number generator and the socks for March need to be knit with this:

No Purl Monkey's

My random yarn for February is Yarn Yard sock yarn in "Peppermint Pink". I bought this with the intention of making some Monkey socks for me; as I loved the Koigu pair I made as a present last year. I've decided to knit the purl stitches, so these are flying along... this is how far I got on my daily commute yesterday.
